Maintenance/Operator II Posting #2015-08
The City of Steinbach has an opening for a full-time Maintenance/Operator II position in the Public Works Department.
The successful applicant will operate a variety of equipment, such as street sweeper, rubber tire loader, trucks, and sidewalk plow to perform maintenance of streets and boulevards, traffic control, storm drainage systems, and snow and ice control, as well as perform a variety of labouring activities.
experience in equipment operation
valid Class 3 drivers with air brake endorsement
required to work some weekends and evenings in cases of emergencies
The City offers a 40-hour workweek as well as an excellent employee benefits package including pension, dental and major medical, group life insurance and long-term disability. Conditions of employment include an acceptable Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract.
