The City relies mainly on area developers to meet this need and works closely with them to ensure orderly and quality provision of livable and desirable neighbourhoods.

Some of the active property development projects underway in 2010:

• Mooney Avenue - 18 single-family residential lots in the City's northeast end(Expected completion July 2010)
• Grandview Drive - 16 single-family residential lots in the City's west end (Expected completion September 2010)
• Edgewood Avenue Extension - 14 single-family residential lots in the City's south end (Expected completion September 2010)

• Harmony Lane (Phase 6) - 40 single-family residential lots on Pleasant Dr., Carillon Way, Chrysler Gate & Harmony Lane (Complete, Warranty commenced October 20, 2009)
• Breezy Bend (Phase 4) - 17 single-family residential lots (Some outstanding issues)
• Giesbrecht Street (Phase 1) - 13 single-family residential lots (Complete, Warranty commenced September 10, 2009)
• Hampton Village (Phase 4) - Brighton Lane (School Site & R4 Site) (Complete, Warranty commenced January 6, 2010)
