The City of Steinbach issues quarterly utility statements. Residents will receive a statement at the beginning of February, May, August, and November. Utility bills are due by the last business day of the month they are received. Overdue accounts may be transferred to the property tax account.

Payment can be made:

By Mail
Mail (cheque or money order) together with the top portion of your utilities invoice. Please ensure payments are received in our office on or before the due date to avoid penalties. Make cheque payable to: City of Steinbach. Cheques may be post dated to the due date.

In Person
Bring your utilities invoice and payment to the main floor of City Hall, 225 Reimer Avenue, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

24 Hour Drop-off
Drop an envelope containing payment (cheque or money order) and top portion of your utilities invoice in the mail slot at the main entrance to City Hall. Cash is left at your own risk.

Web Banking
We are registered as an electronic banking payee with Steinbach Credit Union, Royal Bank, CIBC, TD Canada Trust and Scotia Bank. If you subscribe to this service, simply log on to your bank's website to make your electronic payment by the due date. Please allow 3-5 business days for your payment to be received from your financial institution.

The Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (PAP) is a payment plan that allows the City of Steinbach to withdraw an amount equal to the balance due on your quarterly utilities invoice. Customers using PAP will still receive a utilities invoice.  Complete an application for the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan and submit it with a sample cheque marked VOID.
