A new 44 foot galvanized steel bridge has been installed by crane at A.D. Penner Park. The new bridge replaces the original wooden one to span the duck pond and provide a pathway between the park and Steinbach Aquatic Centre. The original wood bridge was installed in 1980 and provided a picturesque back drop for many special events and wedding photos over its 37 years. Deterioration of the bridge wood led to its replacement.

Wooden planks will soon be added to the main frame of the new bridge, making it complete for use.
