The City of Steinbach would like to advise residents that McKenzie Avenue, from west of Giesbrecht Street to East of Grandview Drive, will be closed from December 7 – 23. Parkhill residents are asked to use Bushfarm Road to access the area during this time.
The closure is required for the developer to join two major sewer connections to the new Lexington subdivision. Excavation as deep as 16 feet is required, making it necessary to close McKenzie, ensuring the public’s safety, until work by the developer is complete. The sidewalk along McKenzie Avenue will remain open throughout construction.
The city has informed all departments, emergency services and local school divisions of the closure and appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation.
Any questions or concerns about this project can be directed to Goldmark Developments at 204.326.4459.
