Quarry Park (Skateboard & BMX Park)


Skateboarders, BMX riders, and rollerblading enthusiasts all enjoy the challenges in developing their skills at this attractive park.  Quarry Park is owned and operated by Youth for Christ Steinbach and is located directly across the street from the Backstage Teen Drop-In Centre at 220 Lumber Avenue.

Abe's Hill, Tobogganing

Located in L.A. Barkman Park, Abe's Hill is a delight for many residents and visitors.  In summer, it provides a beautiful place to watch sunrises or sunsets and in winter, hours of fun are spent tobogganing, skiing, or snowboarding down the hill.


Parks & Recreation Summer Day Camps

Bike and Walking Paths

The City of Steinbach recognizes the value of physical activity and family fun. To accommodate these values, the City has developed a variety of pathways for residents to use for walking, running, rollerblading, or biking.

Click here to obtain a map of the walking and biking paths around Steinbach.  Maps outlining the various paths are also displayed at numerous locations throughout the City.  A larger map is located at the timber arbor next to the Steinbach Family Medical Centre at 333 Loewen Boulevard.

Steinbach Curling Club

Whether you are looking to hone your curling skills or just have some fun, the Steinbach Curling Club has something for you. Home to a full range of curling leagues, including women's, men's, seniors, mixed, and a very successful junior league, the Curling Club features four (4) sheets of artificial ice, locker rooms, and a meeting room on the upper level. An average of six bonspiels are hosted per season.

Steinbach Fly-In Golf Course

The Steinbach Fly-In Golf Course is one of the finest eighteen-hole golf courses in the Province of Manitoba. The course was designed by Canadian architect Robbie Robinson, who made excellent use of Old Tom Creek which weaves through the center of the course, entering into play on 14 of its holes. The Course has grass greens and watered fairways. Women’s par is 73 and men’s par is 72. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the beautiful on-site air-conditioned clubhouse, restaurant, and pro shop. Golf cart rentals are available.

Tennis Courts

There are five asphalt-top tennis courts available for play in Steinbach - three at the corner of Third Street & Lumber Avenue and two on the SRSS grounds.

Third Street / Lumber Avenue
Facility consists of three doubles courts. These courts are available for use from dawn to dusk on a first-come, first-served basis. The courts are open April through October, weather permitting. 

SRSS (Steinbach Regional Secondary School)
Facility consists of two doubles courts owned and operated by the Hanover School Division. These courts are available for use from dawn to dusk on a first-come, first-served basis during non-school hours.
