Being born and raised in Steinbach, Bill Hiebert received his grade 12 diploma in Steinbach, and pursued post-secondary studies at Steinbach Bible College. As a young man, he assisted his father in the construction business, eventually becoming self-employed in the residential construction business for a time. His energetic outgoing nature led him to the automotive industry, where he worked as a sales consultant for over 42 years, before retiring in 2023.
Bill has always been involved in the community and his local church. Whether it has been as an elder, in various leadership roles, volunteering as an usher or even in kids ministry in his church or volunteering hours in community organizations such as the Steinbach Pistons, he loves investing in people. In retirement, he looks forward to spending more time serving the community, more time with loved ones, and more time travelling.
Bill and his wife Darlene have been married for 40 years. They have 3 adult children, 2 daughters and one son, all of whom are married. They also have 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters whom they adore. In his spare time, Bill enjoys travelling, reading, cycling, playing golf, and watching sports of any kind.
