The City of Steinbach would like to inform the public that, starting the morning of Wednesday, May 7th, traffic management will be updated as follows until further notice along Provincial Trunk Highway (PTH) 12, Loewen Boulevard and Millwork Drive:
- The service road along PTH 12, Loewen Boulevard from PTH 12 to the west side of the driveway of 21 Loewen Boulevard (Penner Int.), and a portion of eastbound Millwork Drive approaching the service road/PTH 12 will be closed.
- Both southbound and northbound traffic on PTH 12 will be redirected to use the northbound lanes south of Millwork Drive.
As outlined in an attached map, there will be right-in/right-out access from southbound PTH 12 to businesses located at 2, 6, and 8 PTH 12 and right-in/right-out access from northbound PTH 12 to Loewen Boulevard east of PTH 12.
The update to the traffic management plan in the area is so that contractors can complete roadworks for the west side of Loewen Boulevard and the southbound lanes on PTH 12, as well as box culverts construction across the southbound lanes on PTH 12.
The City thanks all drivers and residents for exercising caution and following signage when travelling in the area, and for their patience as work on the Loewen/PTH 12 Intersection renewal project continues.
