The City of Steinbach would like to inform the public that, starting Monday, April 28th, construction will be resuming on the Provincial Trunk Highway and Loewen Boulevard intersection project. Both northbound and southbound traffic on Provincial Trunk Highway 12 (PTH 12) will be redirected to use the southbound lanes south of Loewen Boulevard.
The update to traffic management is so that the contractor can complete the installation of a box culvert across the PTH 12 northbound lanes.
Once the contractor is ready to cross the southbound lanes with the box culvert, traffic will be shifted onto the northbound lanes again.
The City thanks all drivers and residents for exercising caution and following signage when travelling in the area, and for their patience as work on the Loewen/PTH 12 Intersection renewal project continues.
