The Annual Community Garage Sale has been cancelled in response to Covid-19. We may try to hold the event at a later date, but for now it is cancelled.

Signs of spring are starting to appear, and spring activities are getting underway. For many, this means spring cleaning, de-cluttering and disposing of unnecessary items.

Each year the City provides residents the opportunity to sell their items at the Annual Community Garage Sale. Now is the time to start preparing for this year’s sale taking place on Saturday, April 25 at the T.G. Smith Centre starting at 9:00 a.m.

If you would like to reserve a spot to sell your goods, the cost is $20 per spot. Please contact Cassandra at 204.346.6217 or e-mail for more information, or to reserve a spot.

As in past years, recovered bicycles will also be sold at the sale, either by cash and carry or by an open bidding auction. Bikes that require some fixing will be available for immediate purchase, while the remainder of bikes that are in a bit better condition, although may still require some attention, will be available through a public bid process. Interested buyers will enter a written bid for each bike. Bids will be accepted until Noon at which time the highest bidder will be announced. Bid participants within $5 of the successful bid will have the opportunity to enter a final bid amount.

All proceeds from the bike and garage sale are used for recreational programs in Steinbach throughout the year.
