The City has openings for part time Landfill Attendants to work approximately 20 hours per week from April to October and approximately 4 hours per week from November to March. Responsibilities will include: monitoring usage of landfill site, maintaining computerized scale records, collecting fees, completing reports and controlling all entry into the site.
Demonstrated knowledge and work experience with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Demonstrated ability to deal with the public
In accordance with the City of Steinbach/CUPE Local 5260 Collective Agreement the starting salary for this position is $11.00 per hour, increasing to $11.99 per hour upon satisfactory completion of the 3 month probation period. A criminal record check will be required as a condition of employment.
