Civic Holiday Weekend in August
Steinbach is known far-and-wide for its Annual Pioneer Days Parade that kicks off the Pioneer Days weekend of festivities celebrating the community's roots and rich heritage.
Organized every year by the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce, the Pioneer Days Parade begins at 10:00am on Friday of the August long weekend, traveling west from the Fire Hall down Main Street.

Pioneer Days, put on by the Steinbach Mennonite Heritage Village, is a four-day event packed with pioneer activities, including steam power, milling, and threshing demonstrations, horse shows, a petting zoo, concerts, drama, good food, and more!

Dozens of food vendors, artists and crafters will line Main Street during this lively three-day festival. Multi-cultural performers and food are a popular attraction as well as entertainment for children including the Wonder Shows midway. A large outdoor stage showcases local talent and some amazing headliner performers on Friday and Saturday evening.

The City of Steinbach teams up each year with the Mennonite Heritage Villageto create a full day of family-friendly celebration activities for Canada's birthday. MHV offers free admission and has activities and entertainment throughout the day. Families can then head to the Steinbach Soccer Park for evening activities including a music DJ and free cupcakes and Canada Day souvenirs. The day ends with a fireworks finale starting at 10:45 p.m.
