Parks Maintenance
Posting 2026-08

The City of Steinbach’s Parks & Recreation Department is looking for an experienced/mature, friendly, energetic individual to fill the following seasonal position.

  • Seasonal Water Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation of larger truck safely and efficiently
  • Water trees, shrubs, sod and flower beds according to assigned schedules
  • Work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors
  • Assist with general parks and ground maintenance as needed
  • Must be available to work some special events, holidays, evenings, and weekends 

Required Experience & skills:

  • Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in varied weather
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience operating larger vehicles or water trucks considered an asset

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Available to work through fall

The City offers a 40-hour work week. Conditions of employment include an acceptable Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract. Please reference posting #2026-08 and submit application to:

Employment Application Form

If you are interested in applying for a position (other than Firefighter) with the City of Steinbach, please complete an application form or submit a resume to our Human Resources department.
