
Winter Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and Saturday, 9am-4pm.
The Landfill is closed on Sundays and all holidays.

Registration for the Winter 2026 season starts on Friday, December 19 at 8:00am. Providing a non-competitive hockey environment for children ages 7-16 to participate in the game.

Residents play an important role in snow clearing activities.

Schedules have been mailed! Copies are also available online or at City Hall, the Landfill, the Operations building, Sobeys or Superstore.

The City of Steinbach's 2026 Winter-Spring Quarterly Newsletter is sent to residents along with their utility bills.
Public Works clears the snow from city streets and sidewalks as soon as possible after significant snowfall events, and sanding and salting of the streets occurs as conditions warrant. The City has priority routes that are cleared first following a snowfall, such as streets and sidewalks by the hospital and seniors’ homes, but they always try to work as quickly and responsibly as possible.
Residents also play an important role in snow removal.
