Road Weight Restrictions

Spring 2021 Restrictions  Road Restrictions Map  Exception Request for Road Restrictions

General Information

Spring road weight restrictions are in effect each year from approximately mid-March to the beginning of June.

Spring weight restrictions are on all streets in order to avoid damage during the spring thaw period.  A load restriction of 65% of normal loading on all axle units is posted on the applicable Steinbach streets, as road conditions require.

The City’s By-Law Enforcement Officer will be monitoring truck activity within Steinbach. The 65% of Normal Axle Load rules will be applied, enforced and fines issued to violators accordingly.
