Jac Siemens has been a life-long resident of Steinbach. He received his high school education in Steinbach, graduating from the SRSS in 1974. Jac is currently semi-retired and self-employed. Most recently, he worked as Parts Manager at Keystone Agri-Motive (2018-2022), and previously, as General Manager of South-East Pallet & Wood Products (2011-2018), as Manager of Customer Service at Loewen Windows (2000-2011), and as the Parks and Recreation Department Head at the City of Steinbach (1982-2000).
Jac has been actively involved in Steinbach Mennonite Church sitting on various committees and, together with his family, has been involved with community drama groups. Jac’s latest passion is long distance cycling and gravel rides with the local MIT Cycling Club. Councillor Siemens was first elected to City Council in October 2006, re-elected in October 2010, 2014, 2018 and again in 2022. Councillor Siemens has served on various council committees including 2 years as Deputy Mayor.
Jac and his wife Audrey have two adult children. Their son, Brett, including three grandchildren, Brody and Madison and Payton, live in Steinbach. Jac and Audrey’s daughter, Britta is currently living in Calgary.
