Dog Licences
If you are a resident of Steinbach and have a dog over the age of six months, you need to obtain a dog licence for your pet.
The City requires information about the pet owner and about the pet you are licensing.
Dog licences are issued for the lifetime of your pet.

Replacement Dog Tags
Owners who already have a dog licence and would like to request a replacement dog tag can fill out the online Dog Licence Application form or visit City Hall in-person.
Applying for a Dog Licence
Owners can apply for a dog licence by clicking the button below or in-person at City Hall.
If your dog is spayed or neutered, you will be asked to provide proof.
Payment of Dog Licence Fee for Online Application
Pet owners applying for a dog licence using the online form below are encouraged to pay the fee using e-transfer.*
The dog tag can be mailed out to you or picked up in-person at City Hall once you’ve received a confirmation email saying that it is ready to pick up.
*All e-transfers must be directed to payments@steinbach.ca and, in the notes, include contact information of the sender (e-mail address and phone number) as well as the name and breed of the dog. Please ensure that you input the correct amount as e-transfers are automatically deposited.
