The City of Steinbach issues quarterly utility statements. Residents will receive a statement at the beginning of February, May, August, and November. Utility bills are due by the last business day of the month they are received. Overdue accounts may be transferred to the property tax account.

Online Services

Receive Your Bill By Email

Residents now have the option to receive their quarterly statement by email. The City will email you a copy of your water bill, along with our regular newsletter, every quarter instead of mailing a paper copy. It’s easy to sign up for this convenient, environmentally friendly method of billing by completing our online application form.

View Your Bill Online

The City of Steinbach is pleased to offer its residents the convenience of viewing their utility account online. Our secure website allows you to view details of your utility account billings, payments, and water consumption.

Note: You will need your Utility PIN and Account Number which can be found on your utility invoice.

Payment Options

The Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (PAP) is a payment plan that allows the City of Steinbach to withdraw an amount from your bank account equal to the balance due on your quarterly utilities invoice. Customers using PAP will still receive a utilities invoice.

To apply for PAP, please:

  1. Complete the fillable PAP Application form below.
  2. Attach a VOID cheque (i.e., a sample cheque marked "VOID").
  3. Submit the form and cheque by email to utilities@steinbach.ca or by drop-off at Steinbach City Hall.

PAP Application

Mail (cheque or money order) together with the top portion of your utilities invoice. Please ensure payments are received in our office on or before the due date to avoid penalties. Make cheque payable to: City of Steinbach. Cheques may be post dated to the due date.

Bring your utilities invoice and payment to the main floor of City Hall, 225 Reimer Avenue, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Drop an envelope containing payment (cheque or money order) and top portion of your utilities invoice in the mail slot at the main entrance to City Hall. Cash is left at your own risk.
