What can I compost?

Community Compost Depots

The 2021 Community Compost Depot program is now over for the year. Depots will re-open in May of 2022.

Bring your leaves, grass, and other garden clippings to Steinbach’s Community Compost Depots, open every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from May 8 until October 16, 2021.

The depots are located at:

  • Woodlawn School yard (411 Henry St.),
  • Stonybrook Middle School (77 Lumber Ave.)

The City composts all the material collected at depots and at the Landfill and uses the rich compost in the city’s parks and gardens. When ready, compost is also available for the public to pick-up at no charge!
