Community Compost Depots

Bring your yard and garden waste to Steinbach’s Community Compost Depots, open every Saturday, 9am–3pm, from May 6 to October 14, 2023. (Closed during holidays.)

The depots are located at:

  • Woodlawn School (411 Henry St)
  • Stonybrook Middle School (77 Lumber Ave)
  • NEW in 2023: Smith Neufeld Jodoin Law Offices (85 Provincial Trunk Hwy 12)

What can I compost?

The City composts all the material collected at depots and at the landfill and uses the rich compost in the city’s parks and gardens. When ready, compost is also available for the public to pick-up at no charge!

Please note, compost can also be dropped off at the Steinbach Landfill, year-round.
